Cycling In Niagara

Talwood Manor is a cycle friendly accommodation. We have a covered and secure bicycle storage area, we offer repair kits and pumps as needed and there is always plenty of filtered water to refill your water bottles. If required luggage transfer is available upon request. We are also within close proximity to professional cycling shops which allows for a quick shopping visit during you stay.

For those biking enthusiasts using The Greater Niagara Circle Route Trails System, Talwood Manor offers all the comforts of home after a long day of riding. The Greater Niagara Circle Route Trails System has over 140 km of mostly off-road, paved trails suitable for walking, cycling or rollerblading. The paved trail is mostly three metres wide and passes through urban centres, downtowns, the Niagara Escarpment, waterfronts and agricultural areas.

Inspired by the canal side trails built of St. Catharines and Welland, the Niagara Region created the Greater Niagara Circle Route parkway and trail to benefit Niagara's residents and visitors.

The trails are for walking, cycling and rollerblading. They follow the Welland Canal from St. Catharines to Port Colborne; the old CN Rail Line to Fort Erie; the Niagara Parkway to Niagara-on-the-Lake and, Lakeshore Road back to St. Catharines.

The road and parkway components are designed for car and bus touring with various gateways and numerous pull-offs with parking at sites of historical significance or natural beauty.
