Talwood Manor Attractions


So apart from relaxing with us here at the Talwood Manor, and assuming you are not here on business...what else is there to do in sunny Port Colborne and the Niagara Region? Good question.

We are a 30 minute drive to the city of Niagara Falls which boasts not only the mighty Falls but also two world class casinos in Casino Niagara and the Fallview Casino Resort.Historic Niagara on the Lake is a great place to do some shopping and take a stroll while your here and is definitely worth the 45 minute drive.

Our close proximity (mere minutes)to the Greater Niagara Cycle Route makes us a great place to stay as you tour the route. Port Colborne has over 100 km of cycle trails linking to the whole Niagara Peninsula.This trail is a part of the Lake Erie Connector Route - a well known route to cycling enthusiasts. We encourage all those cyclists who are touring either the Greater Niagara Cycle Route or the Lake Erie Connector Route to give us a call - you won't be disappointed with your stay!

There are many beautiful golf courses in the Niagara Region with two being right here in Port Colborne. The Port Colborne Country Club and Whiskey Run Golf Course are two Niagara golf gems within 10 minutes of the Bed and Breakfast.

We are walking distance to Lake Erie and 5 minutes from Nickel Beach. If you like fishing you can book a Chartered Boat for a trip on either Lake Erie or Lake Ontario. A great local sightseeing experience is the Welland Canal. The Welland Canal links the Great Lakes to the World and is forever linked to the city of Port Colborne as it's southern terminus on Lake Erie.The Lock 8 Viewing area offers a fantastic view of the Lakers and Ocean Liners as they begin or end their travel through the Welland Canal.

Connect with Nature, hiking at any of our Local Conservation Areas such as Mud Lake, Wainfleet Wetlands and Wainfleet Bog.

Port Colborne is also very close (approx. 20 min) from the Peace Bridge International Border crossing with the U.S.A. and the city of Buffalo, New York.

Holidays Cancellation: within two weeks, full room rate(s) Non-Holiday Cancellation: within 72 hours, full room rate(s) Outside 72 hours: $50.00 fee per night, per room. Same applies if reservations are shortened from original booking. Reservation 4 Rooms: 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation with the remaining balance, also non-refundable, due two weeks prior to arrival. Completion of the reservation(s) constitutes an agreement to our cancellation policies. We are a small business and cancellations affect us.
